Iridium emails accessible via webmail

On this opening day of the Paris Nautic boatshow, and as the Christmas holidays approach, I can't resist providing a small gift to the users of the satellite messaging app Iridium Mail & Web app. A tip that I have just been reminded of in the last newsletter of our friend Dominique, to iTabNav.fr, that you may meet on the Booth E11 – Hall 2 to ROM-Arrange.

For those who don't know yet, the email account created for use with the Iridium Mail & Web app (¹) has been accessible for some time by a webmail From any internet browser.

The address https://www.iridiummail.net/ allows you to connect directly to your email, previously saved on the page Iridium Registration (¹). Select the language first before entering your username and your password, created during registration.

The "gear" icon in the top banner allows you to access the settings of the email preferences.

The "Folders" icon displays the same list of mailboxes as in the Iridium Mail & Web app, and gives access to the management of their content.

The "Compose" icon Allows you to enter your emails and add attachments. They will be sent from your address username@myiridium.net as if they were sent from Iridium Mail & Web with your satellite phone, and this even if your plan is inactive.

At the reception :

This is a very practical tool to access this messaging system from anywhere, to consult the emails received, even with a FLEX package during " Standby " option in example,, or a temporarily disabled SIM card.

  1. Huge Francis, Thank you very much
I'll finally be able to empty my spam from this mailbox before leaving.
Special mention to my previous employers... Corsica Voile or something like that, who had put my Iridium address on their mailing list. I don't intend to rent them a boat.
And I confirm, It's working, super, I'm leaving tomorrow.
